Makeda Gilbert, PT, DPT is a licensed Doctor of Physical therapy born and raised in the Bahamas. She is a musculoskeletal and pelvic floor specialist with more than 15 years of experience in the physical therapy industry. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology with a workshop experience in Biotechnology at Hunter College, City University of New York. Her career began as a certified Massage Therapist working with high profiled clients and businesses in the tourism industry of the Bahamas. She then pursued her love for rehabilitation and anatomy by attending D’Youville College in Buffalo, New York where she graduated with a doctoral degree in physical therapy. She currently works as a Clinical Director for a private outpatient clinic in Sugar Land, Texas. Dr. Gilbert has worked extensively in the New York, Boston, Florida, and Arizona markets where she has developed her skills to positively affect the lives of many with therapeutic evidence-based interventions. Her aim is to bring leadership to guide communities with the necessary knowledge to drive their health performance and well-being to understand various neuromuscular, pediatric and musculoskeletal conditions.
